Care Guide

When you buy an item from my shop it is important, for the longevity of your product, to take proper care of it.

Here is a guide for specimen and artwork care and storage. â€‹

Please understand that my art is made from natural materials so they are subject to change over time, following this guide is merely going to help them last not completely prevent aging.

No Sunlight

All art that includes insect and plant materials should always be kept out of direct sunlight.

Hang/display artworks in shaded areas of the home, away from windows.

Sun exposure will cause colour fading of works over time.

No Moisture

Do not allow artworks to become wet.

Do Not hang/display in humid areas such a bathrooms as this may cause mould to accumulate on or inside displays.

Moisture may also cause specimens/plants to become relaxed and deformed.

Cleaning

When dust accumulates on glass domes and frames it is safe to spray regular eye glasses cleaner to remove smudges and debris.

If you'd like to dust inside your dome gently remove the lid and use a paintbrush to dust away debris around the base.

Frames aren't sealed so that if you need to clean glass inside you can.

Metal Items

Items that have metal decals such as glass charms and wind chimes are not tested for outside use, therefore I would only recommend that they are hung inside so that you may enjoy them without the risk of accelerated weathering.
